The Canopic Collection
CANOPIC is an assemblage of legendary deities whose spirits occupy a collection of ancient and powerful masks. Donning one of these masks will transform the wearer into the corresponding god/goddess and empower them with all of the benefits and blights bestowed upon the deity. Some of these powers manifest as magic and miracles, while others leave the wearer forever cursed and afflicted. The impetus that gathers together this curious collection has long remained a mystery which mortals have strived to understand and control.

When donned, this mask turns the wearer into solid ice. In this state, the wearer can break off limbs or other body parts which they can transform into any object they please; fingers can be turned into gold, arms can be transformed into monuments, legs can become skyscrapers. However, this severing of limbs results in excruciating pain causing the wearer to scream with a voice louder than any sound on earth; loud enough to break the glass and deafen the ears of anything within a mile.

The mask is voluntarily worn and can be removed at any time, although any body parts that were broken off while wearing the mask are removed permanently and will never grow back.

Goddess of Song; The wearer of this mask becomes irresistibly beautiful, though not entirely alike to every eye - she assumes the appearance of someone the viewer would find inescapably attractive. Her presence and her voice invoke inspiration and delight, and the touch of even just her finger will leave one endlessly lusting after her.
However, because the mask consumes and exudes so much beauty, the wearer is unable to see past their own beauty. Everything and everyone they see is ugly and drab, leaving the wearer with an overwhelming sense of anhedonia and dread.

SEKHMET

The Valkyrie
Bass Guitars
The Red Woman; The wearer's blood constantly rises in temperature, causing their skin to appear red and inflamed. She must feed on the blood of others in order to cool and prevent her blood from boiling and burning through her skin. However, her saliva has medicinal qualities, which heals her victims rather than turning or killing them.
Legend indicates that this mask was used as a punishment/sentence for witches on trial to force them into a sort of healer servitude. The mask would be permanently affixed to their head where it was believed that it would strip the witch of her nefarious powers and she would only be able to heal, lest she boil and burn from the inside out.
HEIMDALL
The Sentry
Trombone & Tuba
As the inadvertent guardian of the group, this mask grants the wearer with supersonic hearing and super heightened sight allowing them to see along the muddy planes of time in order to predict fortunes or to prevent dangers. A blast of his horn can be heard throughout the universe, alerting the attention of all other deities.
Prophetic and prodigious in its nature, this mask is thought to have been worn during times of war because of the clairvoyant advantages it provides. The cost, however, is that the heightened sights and sounds are too much for the human body to bear and the wearer is ultimately left blind and deaf. Wear beyond this point results in permanent insomnia and drives the wearer to madness.

RESHPEH
The Ravager
Guitars
A violent and virulent mask, the wearer's entire body becomes encased in a mass of volcanic rock and molten lava, and they evoke fear and aggression into the hearts of anyone close enough to feel the heat emanating from their smoldering body. From the liquid magma flowing through them, they are able to spawn a burning war axe, called The Ravager, which spreads plague and disease with every strike.

Throughout history, there has never been a cure for any of the diseases spread by The Ravager: The Bubonic Plague, Great Plague of London, Yellow Fever, Polio, Ebola, Spanish Flu, Covid-19 - all are the result of a slash of the Ravager's blade.
YAMA
The Visitant
Woodwinds
This 'Communicator' mask was intended for funeral rites. After death, those close to the deceased would make a replica of the mask - called the 'Receiver' mask - to adorn the dead person. A loved one would be chosen to wear the Communicator mask, forging a temporary bond with the dead. The Communicator can then accompany the Receiver through the afterlife, communicating with Death to help the departed navigate the underworld and ensure safe passage to their next life.
The mask would be kept in a secured place within the community. If worn illicitly and without a Receiver, the effects become permanent and the wearer is trapped in limbo even after the mask is removed.

JORMUNGANDR

The Serpent
Cello & Contrabass
One of Loki's many offspring, this mask has formidable power on its own; the wearer increases size, their skin becomes hardened and armored, and they gain relentless strength and prowess.
While the general effects of his mask are dangerous enough of their own, they unleash unthinkable terror when joined with his siblings - the masks of whom have yet to be discovered. If Jormungandr were to be reunited with Hel, Fenrir, and Slepnir, his blood and saliva would mutate into a venom deadlier than any substance on Earth. He and his newly reconvened family could not be stopped from bringing about a universal apocalypse.
Dionysus
The Liberator
Organ, Percussion, & Electronics
Traditionally worn during times of celebration, a person would be chosen (most commonly the celebrant or the guest of honor) to don this mask, which would transform them into the ultimate life of the party. Emanating a platinum, diamond-like aura, their very presence would free others from all self-conscious fear or care. Additionally, each of their bodily fluids administer an enchanting, intoxicating effect.
This mask was only to be worn by a designated person. If worn surreptitiously, the wearer would become the ultimate fool; stripped of their motor skills, coherent language, and basic intelligence, they are eventually driven to insanity.

KALI
The Sheath
Trumpet & French Horn
As soon as this mask is put on, the wearer becomes enveloped in a shadowy vanta-black shroud, completely void of all light. She can see into the souls of others, revealing their true nature, and with this knowledge, can summon minions from the underworld to protect, punish, or destroy at her bidding.
This mask has a sentient quality and feeds off of the wearer's energy and intent. If the wearer is of good nature, the powers provide support, protection and guidance; if the wearer has more insidious intentions, the powers bring about destruction and chaos.
Ravana
The Hellion
Drums
This devious mask allows the wearer to morph their facial features at will. Much like a video game's character customization, the user can adjust even the most minuscule of their facial features in order to disguise. It also grants the ability to move the rest of their body incredibly fast, so fast that it can appear as though they have many extra limbs.
Although this mask is worn voluntarily, its effects are immediately permanent, as the wearer will never look the same as they did before donning the mask. The more the wearer changes their facial features while wearing the mask, the more deformed their face will be after the mask is removed.
